A Cremello is a horse that has received 2 copies of the crème gene that, in its single form makes a sorrel a palomino and a bay into a buckskin. Every time you breed a palomino to palomino or buckskin to buckskin, you have a 25% chance of getting this rare and beautiful coloration, but there’s more!
His rare color makes a horse extremely valuable in the breeding shed. Because a Cremello has TWO copies of the “crème” gene, they can never produce a bay or sorrel foal, no matter what color mare they are bred to.
COLOR ME CLABBER will ONLY
produce palomino foals when bred to red mares and ONLY produce buckskin foals
when bred to black mares. He will produce 50% palomino and 50% buckskin foals
when bred to bay mares.
